A smoky mist catches my eye

A smokey mist catches my eye

 what luminous depth!

entrancing . . . mystifying

a solid volume I behold

oh, the mesmorizing delight

turning away, I can only return

the mysterious hunger

of want and of need

chases me to the one

there I am!

a prisoner of the unseen

carrying me further to nowhere

is it sheer delight or is it sheer despair?
