In the all encompassing realm I do glow
Reaching out, I see the naught – crystal clear nothing
Reaching out, I see no self – I am as if . . . lost
Reaching out with great longing – this I know
Longing the immortal longing – endless . . . timeless . . .
Burning like an ember – the all encompassing realm, it does reflect me
(This, like most of my longer non-rhyming descriptive reflections, came to me while half asleep. Typically with these I usually have to get up in the dark, turn my light on, and hurriedly scribble it down to try to record it. It refers to the act of contemplation. The ‘all encompassing realm’ is the ‘presence’. The reference to ‘glowing’ and ’ember’ refer to the ‘great yearning’ or ‘passion’. Both of these, together, make up the contemplative state.)
